Nursing aspirants from Haryana could not have asked for more! Here’s a good news for those pursuing career in nursing/physiotherapy as the iconic Pt Deendayal University of Health Sciences (PDUHS), Kutail village in Karnal (Haryana), has set the stage for conducting nursing and physiotherapist classes in its own building. The construction work of nursing and physiotherapist building on the campus, which had been through the initial teething trouble, is complete and all set to take off with a bang – thanks to the state government.

The ambitious project was announced by the Manohar Lal Khattar government in 2014 with a view to taking nursing education to doorsteps of those brimming with rosy dreams of a career in nursing/physiotherapy. The university is spread over a sprawling prime location measuring over 100 acres of land, nestled against the natural surroundings, at which a whopping Rs 700 crore had been earmarked, to be spent in the first phase.

The authorities concerned had set the deadline for starting the classes for B.Sc. nursing and physiotherapy in February this year, which had failed to take off due to certain technical glitches. With the private construction company failing to meet the earlier two ‘deadlines’ – February and March, 2019 and even April is almost gone by, the newly-constructed building is finally ready to be handed over to Kalpana Chawla Government College and Hospital in a month or so where classes are being conducted at present.

With good wishes for a successful career ahead!
