The British Indian Nurses Association (BINA) was established in August 2020, coinciding with the International Year of Nurses and Midwives. BINA is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting nurses of Indian origin.

It was brought to life through the collaborative efforts of its founding members and BAPIO, highlighting the unity and shared mission of these two entities. As an arms-length body of the British Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (BAPIO), BINA has received substantial support and partnered with many prominent leaders in the NHS and social care sectors, uniting with like-minded nurses to further its mission.
